Die Blaetter faerben sich so langsam ... mal schauen ob wir es noch in die Berge schaffen und uns von oben das Meer an bunten Blaetter anschauen koennen. Hier braeuchten wir wieder einen sonnigen Tag, welche momentan rar sind, vor allem wenn die Wolken in den Bergen haengen sieht man nicht so viel.

Der Kuebel brennt
Das erste Probeheizen, also fuer den Fall das die Temperaturen fallen sollten koennen wir ab heute heizen.

Reibeplaetzchen
Fuer unseren Besuch dieses Wochenende habe ich heute Reibeplaetzchen gekocht, welche anscheinend gut bei Japanern ankommt. Neben den normalen Reibekuchen habe ich auch welche mit Lachs gebraten. Highlight des abends war aber ein fuer mich ganz normaler Dip, den es anscheinend nicht so hier gibt bzw. der sehr gut ankam.
Ausgeklingt haben wir den Abend mit einem Bier einer lokalen Brauerei.

As we got visited for the weekend from today I prepared german potatoe flakes, actually quite easy but everyone liked it and was happy to try it. The white herb cream dip was the highlight tho, as for me it's pretty normal, it seems like here it's not known at all.
I already have a request to do it again. ;-)
After we grabbed a beer together by the local brewery.

Haza Rice Drying
Ueber all verteilt kann man den geernteten Reis sehen der zum Teil zum trocknen ueber dem Reisfeld gehaengt wird. Nicht alle Reisbauern trocknen ihren Reise noch nach dieser eher traditionellen und langsameren weise. Da ich davon mal ein Foto machen wollte, bin ich endlich dazu gekommen.

As it is now time the rice is harvested, some of the farmes leaves their rice on the field to let it dry and as I still wanted to take photos of it, I finally made it today.

home heating
Da es hier keine Heizung gibt es so wie man es Deutschland kennt. Heizt man entweder ueber die Klimaanlage, ueber ein Elektro- oder Gaskuebel oder man feuert mit Holz im Ofen. Ebenfalls fuers Bett ist es empfehlenwsert sich dicke Decken zu besorgen.
Mal abwarten wann und wie kalt es dann wirklich wird.

As a heater is necessary soon, it was the first time to check what would be best to get. After everyone recommends to use gas to heat, the heater shown in the photo might be a good choice.
Beside that there will be extra futons necessary to not freeze during the night.

Mount Tanigawa
Die Wolken hängen so gerade über den Berg Tanigawa, der mit 1977 m Höhe einer der 100 beliebtesten Berge bei Wanderern und Besuchern ist.
Auf dem Bild wirkt es leider nicht so wie als wenn man dort steht.

Family day
Heute war ein langer Tag. Zuallererst ging es auf die Hakkeijima Insel in Yokohama zum Sea Paradise. Eine aufgeschuettete Insel im Sueden von Yokohama die als grosser Freizeitpark aufgezogen wurde, wo vor allem das Leben im Meer im Vordergrund steht. Neben dem Meeresbewohner gibt ebenfalls Achterbahnen, Fahrgeschaefte, Restaurants, Souvenirshops die man besuchen koennte und sogar Uebernachtungsmoeglichkeiten.
Bei guten 30° war es gar nicht so verkehrt in dem Ueberdachten Aquarium den Tag zu verbringen. Neben den typischen Aquarien mit all den verschiedenen Fischen gab es auch noch weitere Tiere wie den roten Panda, Capybaras und kleine Nagetiere zu sehen, warum ausgerechnet die kann ich nicht sagen.
Nach dem aufregenden Besuch auf der Insel ging es weiter, shoppen, bzw. hatte ich da endlich die Moeglichkeit mein Fotoalbum zu erweitern und habe ueber weitere 50 Fotos in knapp 9x6 cm ausdrucken koennen. Nach einem "All you can eat buffet" ging es dann endlich zurueck ins Bett. 😴

Today was quite a long day. First of all, we went to Sea Paradise on Hakkeijima Island in Yokohama. This is an island in the south of Yokohama that has been developed into a large theme park, where the main focus is on sea life. In addition to the sea life, there are also roller coasters, rides, restaurants, souvenir stores to visit and even hotels to stay overnight.
By roughly 30° it wasn't a bad idea to spend the day in the covered aquarium. In addition to the typical aquariums with all the different fish, there were also other animals such as the red panda, capybaras and small rodents to see, I can't say why but people liked to feed and see them.
After the exciting visit to the island, we went shopping, yeahhhh, but I finally had the opportunity to expand my photo album and was able to print out over 50 photos in almost 9x6 cm. After an “all you can eat buffet” I finally went back to bed. 😴
