This blog began with a work-and-holiday year in Canada in 2017. After three years on the West Pacific coast in Vancouver, I spent some time back home in Germany, followed by a year in Japan and a short intermezzo in New Zealand. In 2024, I returned to Japan — which has since become my chosen home.

Crab in the forest
Nach einem kleinen Sonntagsausflug, gab es mal etwas anderes als sonst. Mit etwas Geduld und wenig Überwindung hatten wir ein leckeres Abendessen.

After a small hike in Coquitlam we needed some energy and made soup with a crab. First time to eat crab for me but it wasn’t too bad as I thought.
