Wurstsalat

Sausage salad “Wurstsalat” is a tart sausage salad prepared with distilled white vinegar, oil and onions. A variation of the recipe adds stripes of pickled gherkin. It is normally made from a sort of boiled sausage like Lyoner, stadtwurst, Regensburger Wurst or extrawurst. It is a traditional snack in southern Germany. And really popular in my family and one of my favourite dishes, beside the salad we usually eating a piece of bread or a pretzel.

Moving to Strathcona

Today was the move to our new office, the preparation was already made a few months before, I was not much involved but we all had to do at least small tasks. The move itself had to then ran all and help where even could. The big machines were already taken by a moving company and brought to the new location, nevertheless we had enough to tow.

Strathcona is now our new neighborhood, with many crafts and small production sites, we fit well into the new environment. For me the way to work is a couple stops less and about 10 minutes shorter than up to now, the bus remains the same, with the bike would it be even faster than before.

Welcome!

Thank you for checking out my blog!

The inital of creating this online diary was a work and holiday program starting in September 2017, in Canada. After leaving the Canadian Westcoast in autumn 2020, I returned back to Germany for nearly two years where I already prepared my time in Japan where I stayed from 2022 October an entire year. After a couple months living in New Zealand I am about to head to new adventures, which I will let you know here on my blog.

You can find short stories and stunning images from the Canadian Westcoast, my hometown in Germany and Japan with its rich culture and delicious food.
