BC Family Day
Der zweite Feiertag dieses Jahr, langes Wochenende! Da ich noch ein wenig verschnupft war kam es mir ganz gelegen. Ich hatte deutsche Küche mit Freunden, war das erste mal in Port Moody, war auf dem Campus der Universität mit meinen Mitbewohner, und habe mich am Flammkuchen probiert. Eigentlich war geplant über das Wochenende in die Staaten nach Seattle oder Portland zu fahren, da wir aber aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht konnten gucken wir nach einem alternativ Wochenende. Sowieso wird es langsam Zeit für ein Trip!

The second holiday this year, long weekend! I had already a cold so it was nice to have a long weekend. I had a quiet weekend but I did couple things to not stay the whole time at home. I got german food with some friends, was for my first time in Port Moody, I’ve been with my roommates on the UBC Campus and Beach, and I tried my first to make a taste flambée. Actually we planned to go to Seattle or Portland this weekend but we postponed to another weekend, we just have to find one. Anyway it is time for another trip hopefully soon!

Snowy Day
Der erste richtige Schnee dieses Jahr, nach dem es in der Nacht schon bei -9 Grad war hielt die Kälte und es startete ungefähr gegen Mittag an zu schneien. Es schneit mittlerweile immer noch. Es sieht so aus als ob es die ganze Woche kalt bleiben soll und der ein oder andere Schnee noch kommen soll. Den Tag selber war ich zum schwimmen, konnte ausschlafen, habe gekocht und relaxt. Sonst stand nichts an, morgen gehts wieder zur Arbeit.

The first proper snow this year, almost the whole day it was snowing and it didn’t melt right away. The forecast for the week is cold and snowy, so I guess we have a few white up coming days. My day was pretty good, I could slept in, went to the pool to swim and I cooked for the next days. Tomorrow it gets back to work and after for some chicken wings.

Get a new jacket soon
Endlich, ich kriege bald eine neue Jacke :D, nachdem meine Jacke letztes Wochenende abhanden gekommen musste ich nach einer neuen Ausschau halten. Mit ein wenig Vitamin B und Glück kann ich sie nächsten Montag oder Dienstag abholen.

Yay! I had to get a second winter jacket in two months. After a year without a jacket here in Canada I bought two months ago finally one. Unfortunately someone took last weekend my jacket and so had to get a second one in two month. With a bit luck and help of vitamin B I should get a new one soon. Next Monday or Tuesday I should get it.
